Regarding the Royal Address to the Cabinet Ministers

今早，全體閣員受國王陛下召見，於域多利宮出席關於樞密院問題的御前講話。

This morning, all Cabinet members were summoned to Victoria Palace to attend the King's Royal Address regarding the issue of the Privy Council.

是次御前講話由首相請求，國王慷慨地接受請求而發表。

The Prime Minister requested the meeting, and the King graciously accepted her request.

在御前講話中，國王陛下表明信任政府及內閣，並重申了國君與政府之間的關係。國王陛下強調已將管治權力下放予首相，並根據她的建議行使其他皇室特權。此外，國王根據紀女士的提名任命了樞密院議長。

During the Royal Address, His Majesty expressed his confidence in his government and Cabinet and reiterated the relationship between the Monarchy and the Government. He also emphasised that he had devolved his royal prerogatives to the Prime Minister, and he exercised his other royal prerogatives based on her advice. In addition, the King appointed the new Lord President of the Privy Council on the advice of Mrs Liao.

首相感謝國王陛下指導與支持，並祝賀亞厘畢先生獲委任為樞密院議長。

The Prime Minister expressed her gratitude to His Majesty for his guidance and support and offered her congratulations to the newly-appointed Lord President, Mr Alberto.

是次御前講話已申明民主與良政善治之必要，並為王國繁榮的未來提供清晰的願景。

We hope that His Majesty's Royal Address will reinforce the importance of democracy and good governance and provide a clear vision for a prosperous future for the nation.
